Denzel’s is back with a bang this festive season, and their newly improved 2024 Dog Advent Calendar is a true tail-wagger. As dog owners, we’re always on the lookout for special ways to include our furry companions in the Christmas spirit, and Denzel’s has delivered yet again with this beautifully crafted advent calendar.
Last year saw the treat brand launch their very first countdown – an ice rink design that felt super fun and interactive. For 2024, the design is equally as playful, coming in the form of a giant ski rack. And behind each set of skis, you don’t just get one or two treats – but a whole bunch!
There are 24 doors to open on this calendar, with six different flavours of treats behind each one, ensuring every day is a surprise. Three of the flavours are limited edition, seasonal offerings like Duck and Orange, Christmas Lunch and Pigs in Blanket, while others are from their everyday training range, including Salmon & Banana, Turkey & Nut Butter and the Chicken & Spinach Bites. All of the recipes are suitable for dogs over 16 weeks old, perfect for puppies, all the way up to older pooches.
The treats are packaged in convenient, on-the-go pouches, so whether you’re headed out for a holiday walk or need a quick training treat, these little packs are ideal for tossing in your bag. Each pouch contains 8g of delicious, bite-sized treats that are perfect for rewarding good behaviour or simply sharing a special moment during the holiday season. The recipes are full of natural ingredients, made with care in the UK and Ireland, and the treats are low-calorie, so you can feel good about giving them to your pet.
It’s priced at £12.50, which is more expensive than Scrumbles (£8) or Lily’s Kitchen (£11.99), but I still feel it offers excellent value, all while adding a touch of Christmas magic for your four-legged companion. Because there are multiple treats in each bag, it means Phoebe and Frank don’t need a calendar each, either, saving money on having to buy a second one.
As well as a beautifully illustrated and substantial countdown, it’s also eco-friendly. The packaging is 100% plastic-free, and the treat pouches are biodegradable, breaking down naturally in around 30 weeks. The festive season can bring with it a lot of waste, but you can enjoy the season knowing you’re being mindful and minimising waste where possible, which is a huge plus for environmentally conscious dog owners.
If you’re looking for a way to treat your dog this Christmas and make each December day special, Denzel’s advent calendar is the ulti-mutt choice. It’s fun, festive, and well thought-out, capturing the joy of the season and letting your pup feel like part of the family festivities. Trust me, your dog will be counting down the days just as eagerly as you do! If you fancy getting your paws on one, you can buy it here.
