How to personalise a Papier photo calendar of your pets

Papier has long been one of my go-to brands for stationery stock-ups and beautiful personalised photo gifts, and it’s become something of an annual tradition to buy my parents a photo calendar each Christmas.

And while the brand’s beautiful diaries and notebooks might be considered on the pricier side, I do find their A4 calendars to be really well priced, and of exceptional quality.

The calendars come in A4 for £9.99, or A3 for £11.99, with three different personalised options to choose from – but the multi-photo is my favourite. It’s the one I find easiest to read with the word placement and font, and you can play around with different layouts, too.

Papier said: “Relive your best moments from the past year as you plot out your future days with our photo wall calendars. Keep track of everything from birthdays to appointments whilst getting a monthly reminder of the people, places and things you love.”

The wire-bound calendar comes complete with a wire hook perfect for hanging in the home (we always keep ours in the kitchen), printed on 13 leaves of 250gsm gallery silk paper, which feels super lush.

For the multi-photo calendar, there are six cover options ranging from one photo, or four, five, six, even 12 images, with the option to personalise the front with your name. Ours reads ‘The Shuff’s 2022 family calendar’, but you can change this to say whatever you like!

From here, you can personalise each monthly layout, selecting a grid from nine different options, from one to seven of your favourite snaps. Then you can get uploading your best photos ready to drag and drop them onto the month you’d like them to be printed on. We try to match the photos to the seasons, from festive shots in December, or featuring pumpkins in Autumn, and beach days throughout the summer months.

What’s great is that you can save as you go, and return to the design when you need to. You can even edit some images in the editor, changing colour snaps to black and white, or sepia.

When you hit ‘add to basket’, a pop-up will notify you of any unedited areas if you’ve forgotten any (how embarrassing would it be if my calendar arrived with ‘The Andrew’s family calendar’ printed on the front?), and gives you a change to preview from the basket so you’ll see how the finished product will look.

The calendar will arrive in a cardboard sleeve and the paper feels really high quality with a lustre like finish to the images. These are great for keeping track of everything from birthdays to appointments, as well as things like vet appointments, booster reminders, when to order dog food and then their worming treatment is due.

Production time is seven days with delivery options ranging from £11.99 for one day express tracked, to £4.99 for second class tracked, but a Papier photo calendar make a gorgeous addition to your home made even more special with photos of your beloved pets.

You can also bag £15 off at Papier with my referral link, however, this does exclude calendars.
