Wren and Rye is a Salford Quays-based brand set out to ensure your dogs’ got as fashionable a wardrobe as you do.
Inspired by Ash’s own four-legged friend – Wren – the brand creates a range of British made pooch and parent accessories to keep you bang on trend.
The Wren and Rye BowDangle
Among their products is their signature accessory – the Wren and Rye BowDangle. The accessory won Highly Commended gift of the year 2020 and comes in two sizes to suit all dogs. The Scamps both wear the larger size, with Phoebe sporting Flamingo Pink and Frank wearing Ginger Fizz. These colours perfectly match their collars and coats, which is absolutely adorable. They also come as part of a Pooch and Parent set so you can wear one on your car keys to match your bestie.
The BowDangles are, of course, bow shaped and glittery, and attach to the collar easily with either a ring or clip attachment.Wren and Rye have also recently launched diamond and flower shaped BowDangles due to popular demand. The perspex product are wipe-clean and durable, meaning even the muckiest pup can look cute. As well as block colours with glitter, Wren and Rye also released a range of animal print BowDangles, which are next on our wish list.
Wren and Rye bow ties
Bow ties are a must-have accessory for any pup – we like to call it Sunday Best in our house. They tend to come out for nice photos and holidays, seeing as Frank likes to chew them if they’re left on in the house – both his own and Phoebe’s.
We ordered the Grey Leopard brushed cotton bow tie for Phoebe, and the Khaki Leopard cotton bow tie for Frank. The grey leopard is super soft and beautifully made. It’s got a loop of elastic that even fits over our dogs’ chunky collars and makes Phoebe look ever so sweet. Frank’s khaki bow tie has flecks of orange which match his collar and bring out the amber in his eyes.

Wren and Rye bandanas
If your hound is more a bandanna kind of pup – Wren and Rye have you covered. For £10 you can pick up a beaut standard sized bandanna, or a large for £12. But the best part is that the bandannas are reversible, so it’s like two for the price of one! We ordered the Flamingo Watermelon reversible bandanna, where one side is mustard with little pink flamingos, and the other is pink with black watermelon seeds.
The bandannas slide onto your dogs collar and sit beautifully – plus are very lightweight. Wren and Rye even suggest getting them damp in summer to help your dog cool off.
Human products at Wren and Rye
To match your pup, why not pick up a scrunchie in the same pattern as their bow tie or bandanna? Lady has the grey leopard brushed cotton scrunchie matching Phoebe’s bow tie. This is available in a set for £12, instead of £13, or the scrunchie is £5 on its own. It’s an amazing gift idea for your friend who totally adores their dog – and it’s sustainable. The scrunchies are made from the offcuts of the bow ties!
Finally, one of my favourite products is the Pooch Parent tshirt – the perfect dog walking attire. The top is 100% organic cotton and feels so soft, comfortable and breathable. They’ve each been screen printed by hand in Manchester using water-based eco-friendly inks.
