Lily’s Kitchen Ultimate Suppers that feel like reading from a restaurant menu

In 2024, we’re seeing a real rise in more gourmet meal options for pets, from Marleybones’ ‘dog dining’ concept, to Lily’s Kitchen’s latest premium offering. The B-Corp’s brand new Ultimate Suppers range is a higher end dog food made with top-notch ingredients that is sure to get tails wagging.

Just as we might treat ourselves to a tasty steak dinner, your dog can now tuck into their very own melt-in-the-mouth recipe, too. Perfect for birthdays, special occasions or because you fancy spoiling them every once in a while, the Ultimate Suppers range is inspired by home cooking and made with proper meat, offal and natural ingredients, making each recipe sound pretty swoon-worthy.

The range includes three delicious recipes including The Ultimate Chicken Dinner, The Ultimate Chicken with Salmon Supper and The Ultimate Steak Dinner, all made with tender cuts of meat such as chicken breast, steak and salmon fillet, alongside the likes of Emmental cheese and sweet peaches. It genuinely sounds like ordering from an upmarket restaurant, offering our canine companions a culinary experience, rather than a regular tea-time meal.

Here’s what’s inside each of the recipes:

  • The Ultimate Chicken Dinner  – Your pooch will enjoy tender chicken breast served with diced courgette, sweet peaches, fennel and mint, finished with a sprinkling of Emmental cheese for added temptation.
  • The Ultimate Chicken with Salmon Supper  – The Ultimate Chicken with Salmon Supper is crafted to perfection for a deliciously appetising surf n’ turf supper. Featuring delicious salmon fillet, whole shrimp and chicken breast with pumpkin, courgette and shredded savoy cabbage, expertly finished with a dash of yoghurt, mint and dill.
  • The Ultimate Steak Dinner – Made with prime cuts of beef that are packed with flavour, this is a succulent steak recipe with celeriac and vibrant diced carrots, all cooked to perfection with a touch of tomato, oregano and thyme.

Each meal comes in a 150g tray with a colourful cardboard sleeve to add to the indulgent feel, while the recipes themselves look well presented. Each one contains around 55 per cent meat content, is grain free, and suitable for dogs over the age of six months.

It really is the height of luxury, but they do come at a cost. A typical Lily’s Kitchen 150g wet tray comes in at £1.60, while their 400g tins are priced at £3.70, but the Ultimate Suppers range are £4.25 each for 150g – which is certainly why they’re considered more of an occasional treat rather than a daily meal.

With its gourmet ingredients and irresistible flavours, this is an undeniably lavish range from Lily’s Kitchen, perfect for pooches with a more refined palette, or as that exceptional treat to spoil your furbaby from time to time. They’re currently only available via the Lily’s Kitchen website and from Pets at Home, but I really think it would be great to see them launch in supermarkets so you can buy yours and your dog’s tasty dine-in dinners together.
