Forthglade Christmas Dinner and dog treats are the paw-fect stocking filler

Forthglade’s popular soft bites treats have had a festive makeover, making them the perfect stocking filler for your pup. And of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a turkey dinner, either, with Forthglade releasing a limited edition recipe for December.

The Christmas turkey and cranberry soft bite treats are made in their adorable signature heart design, gently baked with a seam down the middle so you can easily break them in half. This makes them perfect for sharing if you’re a multi dog household, or so that they go further – perhaps your pup has put on some holiday weight and they need help shedding a few pounds, too (we’ve all been there).

Being grain free means they’re good for sensitive tummies, with no added junk, fillers or artificial flavours, made with turkey, sweet potato, dried cranberry and parsley. The treats have quickly sold out on the Forthglade site, but we’ve tracked some down at Hounds, where you can get a bag with 10% off using the code SCAMPS, making them just £1.80.

Forthglade are a Devon-based brand, and have been making pet products since 1971, celebrating their 50th birthday this year, making Christmas extra special.

On the launch of this year’s festive range, they said: “Our limited edition festive recipes are here and we can’t wait for your four-legged friend to try them. We know how important it is to make sure your pup is part of the family and what better way to share the season with them, than their very own tail-waggingly tasty festive dinner!”

The limited edition Christmas Turkey with Cranberry wet food is a complete recipe, meaning you can feed it as a meal, or on top of their usual kibble, making sure to adjust their feeding guidelines for the day.

Made with natural ingredients and gently steamed to retain maximum goodness, the delicious grain free festive dinner is packed with succulent turkey (75%), cranberry and parsnip and is sure to get a tail wag of approval from your four-legged friend. But do note, this meal is only suitable for dogs over 12 months old.

Phoebe and Frank have really enjoyed having Forthglade wet food as a topper on their tea’s this year, and I love how well they store in the fridge, and how long they last when used as a topper. One tray can last the Scamps up to five meals, and they squeeze into any spot in the fridge.

And it’s not just your dog enjoying Christmas dinner thanks to Forthglade this year – the brand have also donated a huge 2,684 meals to homeless support charity Dogs on the Streets, whose Christmas cards we’ve bought this year. It’s such a great charity, and those meals will help feed a lot of four-legged lifeline’s this winter.
