Dog mum summer is the new hot girl summer and in 2022, it’s all about strutting your stuff on the dog walk with the most Instagrammable accessories – and PrettyLittleThing have expanded their pet collection to help owners do just that.
The brand launched their line of pet products in April with a selection of coats, toys, accessories and even an adorable borg dressing down, and as summer gets into full swing, more lines have been added and you really don’t want to miss them.

Typo Pet Club Purple Zoomies Dog Lead
One of the easiest ways to switch up a look for the perfect Instagram photo is a collection of cute and colourful leads, and Typo have teamed up with PLT to stock a number of their affordable leashes. The Purple Zoomies lead is currently £7, down from £8, reading ‘Less Zoom, More Zoomies’ repeating along the length, nodding to the lockdown which saw many of us working from home with our pets 24/7.
The lead is pretty sturdy with a clip on clasp and a D ring onto which you can attach a poo bag, or a device like a Doo-Kee to carry it. The lilac design also pairs well with other accessories in the collection, including a checkerboard collar and the water bottle we’ll tell you about below.
Typo Pet Club Zebra Dog Lead
This £7 lead is the same design as the one above, with a durable clip and D ring, this time in an on trend zebra print pattern. Those who have followed us for a while will have noticed I’m a bit obsessed with animal print designs, and this zebra style even matches one of my favourite dresses in my own wardrobe.
The lead is patterned, clips neatly onto collars and is comfortable to hold dogs big and small – even if they pull, like Frank.
Typo Pet Club S**t Show Grey Dog Poop Bag Holder
Those leash D rings come in really handy for this cheeky sweary slogan poop bag holder. The Typo pouch costs £5 at the moment, down from £6, and is designed for easy refills, fitting most standard rolls of poop bags.
There is a clip which means you can hook it straight onto the lead, because ‘if they’re gonna act like a little s**t, then it’s only fair they carry it too’, say PLT.
The grey design means it goes with absolutely anything, making it really universal and pretty discreet, too. As well as poop bags, it can also fit in other small essentials and can even be used to dispense treats – maybe we need two of these, right?
Typo Pet Club Dog Water Bottle
It’s impawtant to stay hydrated in this weather, so this water bottle with a fillable bowl is perfect for making sure you’ve always got some H2O to hand for your furry best mate. The bottle was £7 and is down to £7, featuring a fun and festival-ready lilac checkerboard design that matches the Zoomies lead above.
The bottle holds just over half a litre of water, and then you can press the button on the side to dispense water into the bowl for your dog to lap up. The design also means that if there’s water left in the bowl, you can decant it back into the bottle so it doesn’t go to waste.
This is always the first thing we pack when we’re heading to places like DogFest, Country Hounds freedom field or on a National Trust walk because it’s lightweight, easy to use, and reduces the need to pack their collapsible water bowl, too.
Recycled Gold Dog Mama Scripted Necklace
Name necklaces of the 90s are back and bigger than ever, and it’s a trend I’m already hugely on board with, if you haven’t already noticed on my Instagram. Now, PLT have got on board with this £5 (was £6) necklace that’s perfect for dog mums.
Featuring a gold steel material with a ‘Dog Mama’ scripted design, it can be added to any outfit of the day for the must-have finishing touch.
It’s subtle enough that not everyone will pick up on the fact you’re a crazy dog mum, but is just extra enough while still looking trendy and chic.
Dog Mum Embroidered Sweatshirt
The absolute early morning.late evening dog walk essential is this grey sweatshirt that gives me some serious Lady Diana vibes. It was £20 and is currently down to £14.25, available in sizes XS to XL.
I love the ash grey shade, but it also comes in oatmeal, stone and candy pink. Perfect for post-walk snuggles, the sweater is super soft with ‘Dog Mum’ embroidered on the front. It’s effortless yet looks put together with your favourite off-duty pieces, from cycling shorts to leggings or loungewear.
