Edgard and Cooper lamb and beef jerky mini review

Whilst the Edgard and Cooper bites are small but mighty, their jerky treats are large and in charge.

We recently received a packet of their luscious lamb and beef jerky made with nearly 60% beef, 25% lamb, as well as potato, pear and apple.

The bites are great for training, and their Busy Day Bars ideal for on-the-go, making the jerky the ultimutt reward just for being a good boy (or girl).

The packet is quite large, so you’ll have to make some space in the cupboard to hide them if you’ve got dogs that can reach the counter, like Frank. Opening the bag, the smell is quite meaty – I’m not a huge fan of the smell of lamb, myself, but the packet is resealable so you can close it up quite quickly to lock in the scent. This also keeps the grain-free treats fresh.

Edgard and Cooper said: “Life with a dog is full of special moments. And what better way to recognise and celebrate those moments than with a delectably chewy treat! Our Luscious lamb and beef jerky are all about sharing the love, whether you’re out on an adventure or snuggling on the sofa.”

The jerky comes in substantial strips, with a crisscross pattern on the back so it looks like they’ve been grilled on the barbecue! The high protein treats are slow baked for extra flavour, with a dash of rapeseed oil to make them ‘juicy’. The consistency of the treat is great, and doesn’t feel at all artificial like some dog treats can. They break up into bite sized chunks easily, which is better for smaller dogs, and you don’t feel like your fighting with it to snap it.

The packaging is 100% biodegradable, and 1% of sales goes straight to the Dog Care Clinic in Sri Lanka.

Phoebe and Frank love these, and as expected, they don’t tend to last long. That said, they’re a fab high value reward that always leaves them sniffing around for another.
