Hounds Chew Box March 2021 unboxing

Another month, another Hounds Chew Box! We’ve been taking full advantage of their free local delivery service in lockdown, and The Scamps have since associated brown paper bags with treats.

For those of you who are new here – the Hounds Chew Box is a monthly subscription box filled with natural treats and chews. They cost £8.49, or £8.07 when you subscribe, and the contents are always worth more. What’s inside is always a surprise, and they’re a great way to discover new brands and products you may not have purchased from the shop previously.

This month, the total price of the contents bought individually would be £9.98, so you’re saving at least £1.49. Not only that, but you don’t have the hassle of choosing what to get your pooch!

Here are some reviews from previous months:

All of the treats included in the box are suitable for puppies and dogs over 12 weeks old – but be reminded to always supervise your pet with chews and treats.

Inside the March chew box:

  • Forthglade Fresh Breath Treats
  • JR Lamb Sticks
  • Two Duck Coins
  • Cows Ear
  • Porky Snout
  • Puffed Chicken Foot

We are big fans of the Forthglade biscuits, as we feel they are value for money and a great training aid. They’re heart shaped and scores, so easily broken in to two, so they go a little bit further. The second packaged treat was the JR Lamb Sticks, which were definitely welcome after the venison version went down so well during walkies. These can be broken into smaller pieces and used as a high value reward.

We love that we got two duck coins, as having two dogs means sharing isn’t always going to wash. Also from the pick and mix section we received a cow ear, a porkie snout and a puffed chicken foot. Phoebe and Frank love trying out the contents and I love the convenience of just adding one item to my basket instead of seven, whilst saving a quid or two!

The Hounds team package the boxes beautifully with pink tissue paper, which makes the product a real joy to unwrap, and include a note with all of the contents. The boxes change on the first of each month, which for me usually falls on payday week, which is a real winner, and means its one of the first purchases I make when I get paid!
