Beef dog treat your pet will find udder-ly delicious

I’m constantly on the lookout for weird and wonderful treats that I just know Phoebe and Frank will love, and I often find beef treats to be some of the most bizarre.

Last year, Phoebe and Frank tried out beef testicles, pizzle sticks and even hairy cow scalp – so of course, when I spotted these JR cow udders in Hounds over the weekend I just had to grab a bag.

A 100g bag cost £3.99 and contained around 11 (and a half) of the meaty sticks, made with 100% cow udder that’s been air dried with no additives or preservatives.

Suitable for ‘dogs of all ages’ the udders are high in protein (54.41%) as well as being grain and gluten free, so ideal for dogs that have sensitive tummies. They’re also high in calcium, which helps support puppies bones and growth from 12 weeks.

Great for promoting good dental hygiene by looking after teeth and gums, the tough chew is a natural alternative to dangerous rawhide.

Phoebe and Frank loved the smell of these chews (they really do honk – but don’t worry, it’s short lived) and truly couldn’t wait to get their paws on them. I’d read in other reviews that one of these sticks would last a medium sized dog 20 minutes, but Staffies will scoff them in approximately 75 seconds. I was stunned at how quickly they ate them, but pleased that it was obvious they enjoyed them, and they’ll definitely make their way into our basket again.

The cow udders are great value working out at around 36p per chew, and perfect as a reward or to use as a training tool. This protein packed treat is one your dog will go udder-ly mad for, and they can be fed any time of the day so long as it’s as part of a healthy diet.

As with all chews for dogs we recommend to supervise your dog while feeding and to ensure that fresh clean drinking water is always available. Don’t forget you can bag 10% off at Hounds with the code SCAMPS.
